| The Process | Basically, we will ask you to contact us and let us know that you are curious.
We will then ask you to send us information such as brochures, advertisements, logos and
photographs that reflect the way you want your customers to view your company. We will
review this material to understand your company's product or services and the way you go
to market. We will then ask you in strict confidence to write down the three things that
you want to improve about your business through the use of the Internet. These could include: Improve Sales, Reduce Costs, Enhance Company Image, Improve Customer Service, Provide Better Market Research/Info, Simplify Employee Training, Expand Territory etc. Once we have this information, we can tell you with certainty if we can meet your expectations, and what it will involve. We can not afford to misunderstand your expectations, as we depend on our customers for referrals and strong recommendations. |
| Web Site Design, Construction and Publishing | WireBuilt provides for the complete
consultative design/build deployment of commercial Internet sites. WireBuilt will build
and place on the Internet the homepage (front page) of your new site for you to
review as a "proof" before you spend any money. This is our way to insure your
satisfaction. It is also a way to show that we appreciate your time in providing us your
Company's information.You have no obligation to proceed with the project and we will
understand if it just doesn't feel right, no questions asked! We hope that you will want to proceed, and will be able to revise and re-do the homepage proof quickly and accurately to your liking once we are looking at the same sample. |
| Hosting and Maintenance | WireBuilt signs a 2
year contract with each new customer for $210 per month. This fee covers everything
including the design/build for the website, constant consulting, hosting, promotion and
maintenance. Maintenance includes up to 4 free change orders per month. A change
order is a request for a change or changes that do not increase the binary
size or substantially change the design of the pages. A work order
is an order to make substantial changes and/or add pages to your site, and we will give
you a quote any time you wish for such renovations. Work orders are charged at the
rate for $50 per hour for (re-)work, (re-)design, (re-)construction and (re-)publishing. |
| Owning Cyber Space | Most businesses will desire to own what is
called a "domain" for their website. A domain is the word or phrase that follows
the http://www.... and many times will end with " .com". For
example our address on the Internet is http://www.wirebuilt.com/ and we own the
domain "wirebuilt.com". This is like owning real estate, in that there is a
finite amount of it, and once you own it, no one else can stake a claim to it. Also like
real estate there is prime and there is swamp land. Prime cyber space would be like:
http://www.sony.com/ , an example of swamp land would be like:
http://www.gdfr~azt33ts.com/ . In the first example, there is little doubt where you will
go if you click on it. In the latter example your guess is as good as mine. They are both
domains, and constitute cyber real estate, but the first one is obviously worth much more
than the second. Domains are bought, sold, traded because the law of supply and demand
applies the same way it does in real estate. There is also "renting" for those
that can't or are not ready to own. This is less expensive and there is less of a
commitment involved. If SONY wanted to rent some cyber-space, we would be willing to work
with them, and they might have an Internet address like this:
http://www.wirebuilt.com/SONY/ . As you can see they would be residing on space provided
at the wirebuilt.com domain. Just like renting an apartment, it sometimes makes sense to
rent for a while before you decide to settle in. We would be delighted to discuss the

| Web Site Promotion | A new website on the Internet does nothing
except occupy cyber-space until it is promoted. Once it is "published" , (moving
the completed website and all necessary support data files on to the Internet), it is only
available to those that have your specific Internet address. For instance, the address of
this site is http://www.wirebuilt.com/ and for those that have it memorized, they can go
directly to this site by typing it in to their "browser". Chances are, however,
that you did not arrive here by typing our address into your browser. Most likely you
clicked on a link after searching one of the popular "search engines" such as
Yahoo, and it carried you here to us. For this reason it is generally desirable to let
various search engines know that you now exist, where on the Internet you are, and what
search words or phrases best describe your product, services, so that each search engine
knows when to offer your website to the person doing the search. This hopefully prevents a
person searching for "banana plantations" from getting information on
"world ping-pong champions". I use the word "hopefully" because anyone
who has done much searching on the Internet knows that search engines are far from
perfect. As part of our service we will submit your new site information to more than 100
search engines. While no one can guarentee your ranking on a search engine, WireBuilt has
had excellent success and will provide you with documentation as to search engine
